Our previous blog post discussed Roger technology and how it can help Phonak hearing aid uses understand speech in challenging environments better than just using hearing aids alone. But what exactly are these challenging environments? Below are some specific examples where our patients have used their Roger On devices to enhance their listening experience:

· At a restaurant: The Roger On device can either be worn on the speaker’s lapel (for one-on-one dining) or placed in the middle of the table (for small group dining).

· At a meeting or presentation: The Roger On device can be used by pointing it directly at the speaker, or it can be worn on the presenter’s lapel to transmit sound up to 50 feet!

· At an exercise class or in the car: The Roger On device can be useful in environments when the listener can’t always see the speaker’s lips or facial expressions.

· When watching TV: The Roger On device can also be paired to the television so that the user can directly control the volume in his or her own ears!
